How to use an espresso machine guide
Here are the steps to make a great espresso:
1.Measure the right amount of coffee.
You should use 7 gram (0.25 Oz) of ground coffee for a double espresso.
2.Place the coffee in the filter.
Now place the coffee grounds in the filter. Fill the filter with coffee grounds. The grounds should be level with the top of the filter.
3.Tamp the coffee.
Now use the tamper to compress the coffee. You should compress the coffee with a minimum of 10 pounds of pressure. Tamp the coffee three times.
4.Insert the portafilter.
Now it’s time to insert the portafilter into the machine. You should place the portafilter into the group head and lock it into place with the lever.
5.Start the espresso.
When the espresso is finished, it will stop automatically. You should remove the portafilter and then clean the espresso machine.
6.Pour the espresso in a cup.
Now you can pour the espresso into a cup. An espresso should be served in a shot glass or a demitasse.
7.Enjoy your espresso!
You can drink your espresso as is, or you can add sugar and foam to make a cappuccino.
